Disclaimer

If you do not know me (I mean, really know me) then there is something you need to understand before you read this blog: I value the truth above everything else... except a good laugh. A good laugh will almost always beat the truth as far as I’m concerned. Everything you read on this blog will be true, somewhat true, or something I made up in an effort to get a laugh. Sometimes I will go on a rant that I don’t really mean (or only kind of mean). Sometimes I will mean what I write only to completely change my mind a year, month, or day later. Such is life. By reading this blog you agree not to get offended by anything I write (or, at the very least, you agree not to tell me or anyone else that you are offended). It is worth noting that my employer does not endorse my blog (or even read it, to tell you the truth). The Wife also does not endorse my blog (though she will read it from time to time). I am not paid to write this... it’s just my way of giving back to the community. I have, and will, touch on a wide range of subjects and will give my opinion on these subjects. Again, most of what I say is for laughs but every now and then I will say what I really think and feel (see my views on Westboro Baptist Cult). How will you know when I’m serious and when I’m trying to get a laugh? You’ll know. And if you don’t know, well... maybe this isn’t the best thing for you to be reading. So, sit back, read and enjoy. Tuesday Thinkings....

It has come to my attention that not everyone reading this blog is a Cleveland Cavalier fan. I even have the feeling that not everyone is a Winthrop Eagle fan. Since I will be talking about them a good bit, I thought it would be a good idea to share some facts about each. And since this is my blog, I can act on my good idea.

Cleveland Cavalier fact of the day:
The Cavs are in the Central division of the Eastern Conference (along with the Detroit Pistons, Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, and Milwaukee Bucks).

Winthrop Eagles fact of the day:
Winthrop is a founding member of the Big South Conference. Other Big South members are Charleston Southern University, Coastal Carolina University, Gardner-Webb University, High Point University, Liberty University, Presbyterian College, Radford University, UNC Asheville, and VMI (Stony Brook University is a member in football and College of The Holy Cross and Bucknell University are members in Women’s Golf).

It looks like the editors of the Post and Courier picked up on my talk yesterday about the
First Lady not wanting to visit South Carolina. They pretty much said what I was thinking.

While I’m sure none of you have noticed, the doctor here (aka, the boss of my boss) seems to think I’ve put on a few pounds. Well, the joke is on him because I’ve put on WAY more than a few pounds. I passed the ‘few pounds’ mark about a year ago. Anyway, he told me I need to lose weight. So, I guess I’ll start losing weight. It’s not like I didn’t want to lose weight before, I’ve just had a lot going on (this whole MBA thing + a soon to be newborn baby). But, like I’ve always said “Excuses don’t make you thin, fatty”. Haha, I’ve never said that... I just thought of it. I think I might start saying it, though. Anyway, I’ll start trying to get a little healthier. When I started this MBA program, I was at 180 pounds. Today I’m at 240 (which isn’t bad for a linebacker... wish I was a linebacker). My original plan that I’ve been trying was to grow to 6’4”. While I’m not giving up on this plan, I think it’s time to move on to plan B (lose weight). I would like to get back to 180... or maybe even 170. I’ll post weekly updates here to let everyone know how that’s going. Wish me luck.
